The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) introduced the Veterans’ Home Care Program to help veterans and war widows/widowers to maintain independence enabling them to continue to live in their own homes.

Who is eligible for Veterans’ Home Care?

 

To be eligible for Veterans’ Home Care, you must meet the following criteria:

– A veteran of the Australian Defence Forces; or

– An Australian Mariner; or

– A Defence or War widow/widower of a veteran of the Australian Defence Forces or an Australian

Are there any fees for these services?

 

Once assessed and your eligibility is confirmed, your Veterans’ Home Care Service Plan will indicate if you are required to pay a co-payment and how much the payment is.
